ROBIN KLEINE
Hi! I’m Robin, I’m quick with a smile and firm with a handshake. I’m ready to talk business in a board room or in a bar room. But give me some sunscreen and a hat, and let’s walk through the cattle all day.
I grew up on the mean streets (corn fields) of Indiana, spent some time in the Flint Hills at Kansas State University, and made my way to South Dakota in 2018. I’ve worked as a professional livestock photographer since 2013 and started cutting my teeth in the digital marketing age at the same time. I’ve dabbled in print, web, promo videos and social media services in the past decade and have worked with clients from all areas of the United States.
A little horn tooting: I have spoken about livestock marketing and all that it entails at conferences, to college classes, in front of large crowds, and at corporate events. It’s not easy to catalog all that I do, but the basics are livestock photography and videography (primarily cattle and a few small ruminants), print design and sale catalogs, as well as social media management.
For me, doing business with livestock producers is a commitment to their entire program. Not only are we trying to sell bulls or a group of show cattle … I want us to work together to promote your brand AND do it within a budget. I want to effectively navigate different areas of advertising and collectively build upon what we’ve done in the past.
2023 was a big year, I said “yes” to my fiancé Jesse, who makes me very happy and tolerates my cat, Butterball. He and his children have made my life equally wonderful and hectic and I love the life we’re building together. (Oh hey, we raise some cattle too at ThunderStruck Cattle Co!) .
I also said goodbye to a long-time job in 2023 and took a leap of faith to launch my own company — Girlfriend Original Promotions, LLC or G.O. Promo.
Starting G.O. Promo has been a true labor of love. I wanted to honor my dad, Bob Kleine, who passed away in 2019. He was a proud farmer, who had a “work hard, play hard” mentality. He collected friends across the country. He told great stories and had the best laugh. My favorite though was his nickname for me. Since I was a little girl, he called me his girlfriend.

Fun Facts
The way I show love is to cook for someone. I love gifting, especially with food and special treats I know you’ll enjoy.
I am a cat lady, and I always have at least 15 photos of Butterball ready to show you on my phone.
Iron Chef is my favorite cooking show, but my ultimate binge-watch is Gilmore Girls. People have mentioned that my mom and I are like Lorelai and Rory.
I was a blanket child. While I no longer drag it behind me, I still can’t travel anywhere without my own pillow.
I won the hula hoop contest and caught the bouquet at my older sister’s wedding in 1997. I will finally pay off that debt at my own wedding in June 2024. There will be no hula hoop rematch.
As a kid, I loved to draw and sketch. Recently I was reminded that I spent a lot of my time organizing the crayons by color … this explains a lot about my personality.
I grew up on a farm, but wasn’t around cattle until I was in 7th grade. My mom bought our first show steers and that was that. We figured out the barn and fencing later.
Making lists and crossing things off brings me so much joy.
Buffalo wings are my favorite food, followed closely by sourdough bread + butter.
Sharpie pens are my #1 favorite office supply.
I thought fog was called “frog” until at least the 6th grade.
